Scruffles Born 1980. He arrived to us aged 13years old,
having previously been rescued after being slashed with by a sharp blade. Although he stands
at only 12.2 hands, being a Welsh mountain pony, he is full of character, his handsome appearance belies his age.
Trojan Born 1993. A Shire cross, he arrived to us aged just 16 months old. He had a very bad start in life, when he was only ten months old, his owners were
disappointed, because he did not turn out to be full Shire, and he was abused and underfed. Luckily,
some kind lady heard about his ill-treatment and offered to buy him. He was so ill that he required
urgent veterinary treatment, without which he may have died within days. He suffered from congested
lungs, pneumonia, hernia, worms and being generally emaciated. Because he was a big horse, the lady
became too scared to handle him, so that’s when he came to us. He’s now a gentle giant.
Wellie (Duke of Wellington). Born 1996. He is a New Forest X
thoroughbred and arrived 1998. He was a lucky one who came as a yearling without a history
of much mistreatment. He has gentle nature, but takes a while to get used to people, but
once you are his friend, it is for life.
Spyder Born 1996. She is New Forest X thoroughbred and
arrived Summer 2003. She has a very sweet nature, and loves lots of affection. She was
one of the lucky ones as she came previously from a good home.
