Tony

Tony came to us from an auction with very limited background information. We were told he had been ridden in the past, but due to his small size, he will not be adopted out as a riding mini.

When Tony first arrived, he had a previous muzzle injury that left some scarring, along with open wounds and a runny eye. He has since made a full recovery and is now healthy and sound, with only light cosmetic scarring remaining.

​

Since arriving back in October, Tony’s personality has really started to shine. He is playful, a bit timid at times, and can still be slightly nervous about being caught, but he truly tries his best and has a kind, willing nature.

​

We have recently noticed some stud-like behaviour and currently have bloodwork pending to better understand what’s going on. As far as we can tell, he has been gelded, but this will help confirm things and guide his future placement.

​

If confirmed as a gelding, Tony would do best in a home where he can be active, play hard, and enjoy the company of other geldings who match his energy.

​

Medically, Tony is doing very well. He is sound, up to date on vaccines, dental care, farrier work, and deworming, with no current health concerns. He does have a slightly larger left front knee; however, there is no heat or discomfort, and our vet has confirmed it does not affect his movement at the walk, trot, or canter—it’s simply a unique part of him.
